“Respect other’s feelings ‘coz they deserve it: Your time, your attention can prove to be a life saver.....”

Have you ever heard a prostitute being raped? Have you ever heard a beggar being bankrupt? Paradoxically the answer is yes....It can be possible.

A prostitute may be indulging in the flesh trade as per her will, to earn her livelihood. But that does not disqualify her from being a woman or deprive her of the basic rights, respect, dignity and privileges she should enjoy being a woman, only because the society does not recognize or accept it. She, as a human being has every right to live a life of dignity as per her own will. Anybody going against her will and invading her dignity should be punished. This also qualifies the fact that a wife can be raped by her husband and that the one committing such crime should be punished as he is doing it against her will.

A beggar being bankrupt? Yes that’s possible if he or she is deprive of his basic human and social rights...the real asset a man can possess. The one may be deprived of material possession and money but has all the dignity and self respect like any other human being .He cannot be deprived of his rights and ill-treated only on the ground that he is begging...

Similarly when a person is already hurt, has seen the worst of his or her days, gone through emotional crisis, mental trauma and has faced several rejections and failures does not necessarily proves the fact that he or she is used to such thing and can sustain and endure any amount of pain .One’s experience with sustained pain and suffering may not necessarily strengthen his or her will power or power of endurance, it may sometime or more so in case of emotional suffering and pain, result in the erosion of her inner power or potential of endurance, which can result in self rejection leading to disastrous move, in ending one’s own life.

Any dear and near ones whom you find going through such experiences please give him or her a little bit of your valuable time and attention unconditionally because you never know that your emotional support and counselling can prove to become a life saver and life changer effort which can help and save them from drowning into the despair of depression and withdrawal.

Never take anybody’s feelings for granted nor be indifferent...because you may not have the idea what it means for them.

In our great country we always think that poverty is experienced by the poor who face it by being hungry, helpless, unclothed and shelter less. In fact the real poverty they are experiencing is when they are socially outcasted, forsaken and neglected. The real tragedy these poor souls are facing is the poverty of their yearning or craving.
